If you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, please know that there are many programs and services available to you. Below is information on some of the groups who may be able to help you. In addition, Nevada 211, which can be reached by dialing 2-1-1 on any phone in Nevada, may also have information on assistance programs in our area.

Catholic Charities is one of the largest nonprofit organizations in Las Vegas that provides miscellaneous services to those in need. Services include emergency shelter for men, children and family services, food distribution, housing assistance, and immigration services.

Goodwill is a nonprofit organization that works toward ending unemployment in Southern Nevada by connecting people with available jobs. This helps lead people out of homelessness and poverty and puts them on a path toward self-sufficiency.

The Shannon West Youth Center provides services for at-risk youth who are currently homeless or are on the verge of becoming homeless in our community. The youth center provides a variety of services including, but not limited to, life skills training, substance abuse counseling, and case management.

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is a nonprofit Christian organization. They provide services to men, women, and families that include daily meals, emergency shelter, addiction recovery services, and spiritual guidance.

Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth is a comprehensive service provider that works toward providing stability for homeless youth in our community. They provide emergency shelter for youth as young as 12 years old and provide community-wide outreach relief by promoting a path to self-sufficiency.

The Shade Tree is the largest nonprofit shelter of its kind that assists women and children in need. Shade Tree focuses on assisting those who are victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse or assault, human trafficking, elder abuse and/or street violence.

U.S. Vets is a private nonprofit organizations aimed at assisting veterans and their families. They provide both transitional and permanent housing, as well as job training and employment services.

Clark County Social Service Department

The County Department of Social Service offers limited, income-based housing assistance to qualified applicants, as well as case management and other services.
